Firm Taking Steps to Drive Strategic Direction, Future Growth

EuroMed, Inc. today announced the appointment of Terrence O. Tormey to its Board of Directors in a move to fortify its strategic leadership and establish a broader foundation for the firm’s anticipated growth. EuroMed is a leading designer and manufacturer of wound care management products, and one of a select few custom hydrocolloid manufacturers providing comprehensive private labeling services.

According to Robert Jensen, EuroMed’s senior Board member, “Terry Tormey brings a wealth of industry experience to our Board of Directors. He is well positioned to assist EuroMed as it works to aggressively build a paradigm for shifting to our next generation technologies. His specific background in medical device development and commercialization will be critical as we expand our advanced wound care and ostomy product portfolios.”

Jensen also said that Tormey has extensive Board experience with other organizations that will aid in his strategic contributions. He was previously a member of the Board of Directors of Quigley Corporation. In addition, Tormey was elected to the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Ichthyosis & Related Skin Types, Inc., a non-profit organization supporting research in a variety of rare skin disorders.

Tormey, the former President/COO of Nelson Professional Sales (now known as Publicis Selling Solutions), started his career in pharmaceutical sales in 1976 with Johnson & Johnson’s Ortho Pharmaceuticals Division. While at J&J’s McNeil, he was on the management team that orchestrated the recovery of the Tylenol brand after the tampering incident. He later joined the American Home Products team that launched Advil in the U.S. He is currently president of the Tormey Consulting Group, where he works in creating new markets for emerging technology and medical device manufacturers.
