Senior Laboratory Technician

Purpose of Position

This position was created for performing tests/experiments in the lab. The Technician will also analyze data and create reports. The position will be ensuring general orderliness and cleanliness in the Lab.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create documents for lab experiment protocols, batch verification, and raw material approvals.
• Perform tests/experiments.
• Maintain calibration of laboratory equipment
• Report results as needed and create reports.
• Use laboratory equipment knowledgably and safely.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and orderliness.
• Train and Aid others in all lab related procedures and policies if and when necessary.
• Knowledgeable in using and able to use the CAPA and Document Control systems.
• Assist Engineers or other Professionals in performance of product evaluation.
• Attend Team meetings and provide feedback.
• Perform process audits, investigations, and quality assessments if needed.
• Prioritize and regulate own schedule based on overall goals of the company.
• As a senior level technician it is expected that adherence to design control systems will be maintained

Reporting and Managing

This position reports to the Technical Coordinator in the Research and Development department as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelors degree in Science
• Experience: Previous experience using laboratory equipment, 1-2 years.
• Skills: Experience using various applications/tools of Microsoft office, mainly Word and Excel. Additional knowledge of other software is a bonus.
