RICHARD WILDNAUER, Ph.D.
Chairman of the Board

Dr. Wildnauer brings over 39 years of experience in the dermatological, cosmeceutical and pharmaceutical industries. He is the former president and CEO of NeoStrata Company, Inc., where he was responsible for the strategic direction, profitability, corporate development and overall leadership of this medium size, privately held company focused on technology based dermatological and cosmeceutical product development and marketing. Dr. Wildnauer also spent 25 years at Johnson & Johnson where he held senior executive positions in both R&D and business development at three J&J operating companies as well as J&J Corporate, spanning its pharmaceutical, dermatological, skin care and wound care businesses.

Dr. Wildnauer has published numerous scientific articles in dermatology and skin care and is the inventor of one patent. He holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry from St. Vincent College and earned a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from West Virginia University and a M.B.A. degree from Rider University. He is a Life-Member of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors. He served on Boards for NeoStrata Company, Inc., and TriStrata Technologies, Inc. and United Ways of Tri-State (NY, NJ & CT). He currently serves on the Board for CellCeuticals Skincare Inc and the United Way of Central Jersey.

KIRSTEN JENSEN
Director

Kirsten B. Jensen was born and educated in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her early business history involved several Danish start-ups, including Automaticon, Medispo, and Practical Plastics. All companies serving various markets within the medical device field.

Medispo was sold to Convatec in 1980 and is largely credited for the early success of Convatec’s Ostomy business. The sales of Medispo brought Kirsten and her family to the US, where in the early 1980’s she was a founding member of Jentec Inc. Jentec Inc. has developed several important technologies including patents that today are licensed to EuroMed Inc, Hollister and Dansac.

Kirsten was also a founding member of For Life, a German medical device company, which recently was sold to outside investors. Kirsten is also a founding member and shareholder of Euromed Inc., where she continues to serve on the board of directors.

Throughout Kirsten’s career her focus has been on business financials and general management.

CHRISTINA JENSEN
Director

Christina brings a diversified background of executive experience to EuroMed, Inc. board of directors. She has served as general manager for Practical Plastics A/S in Oelgod, Denmark. Practical Plastics specialized in blow molded and extruded plastic goods for the medical device and home goods industry.

As President of MegaBite A/S, Copenhagen, Denmark, a distributor of coffee and related products as well as a leaser of restaurant equipment, she obtained a government grant for the development of a new extruder for the industrial food manufacturing industry.

As production manager for Euromed I/S, Copenhagen, Denmark, she managed and coordinated the interim production at 2 facilities as well as coordinated the move of the company’s production to the US. Later as Quality Assurance Manager, EuroMed, Inc., Northvale, NJ., she managed all aspects of quality assurance and regulatory affairs.

Christina holds a BA from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.

ROBERT JENSEN
Director

Robert Jensen was the Euromed Chairman of The Board of Directors from 2004-2008. Mr. Jensen has more than 12 years of experience in the hydrocolloid health technology business. During his time in Euromed Mr. Jensen has been issued many patents with more pending, all relating to hydrocolloid products, processes and materials.

Prior to becoming Chairman, Mr. Jensen served as production Manager where, aside from his daily responsibilities, was involved with the machine and product design along with process development for most of the products sold by Euromed today.

Mr. Jensen is a Certified Director by the NACD. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Steven Institute of Technology in 1993 and his Bachelor of Science in Physics from Ursinus College in 1990.

JARL JENSEN
Director

Jarl Jensen served as President/CEO of EuroMed, Inc. from 2004 to 2009. Mr. Jensen has more than 10 years of experience in the hydrocolloid health technology business. During this time, he has been issued eight patents with many more pending. Prior to becoming President/CEO, Mr. Jensen served as Research and Development Manager, where he was involved with the machine design, product design, and formulation of the products sold by EuroMed today. As President/CEO of EuroMed, Mr. Jensen aggressively retooled management to better serve EuroMed’s customers.

Mr. Jensen has developed a unique market and industry expertise for hydrocolloid technologies, manufacturing processes, and the commercialization of advanced wound care products. Mr. Jensen leads a team of experienced professionals whom have helped to create this wound care category and perpetuate its clinical efficacy in treating hard to heal wounds and improve quality of life.

Mr. Jensen received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University in 1994.

HELMUT HABICHT
Director

Helmut Habicht is the founder and CEO of Meto Corp., an engineering and manufacturing co. of handling and process equipment for the pharmaceutical industry. Helmut Habicht has 32 US and foreign patents in the solid dosage handling and process equipment segment of the pharma industry.

Helmut Habicht was educated in Germany, the Ordnace School, Aberdeen, Maryland and Stevens Tech. Hoboken, New Jersey. Helmut Habicht is married and has two adult children.

TERRENCE O. TORMEY
Director

Terry Tormey, a Senior Bio-Pharma Executive, entered the US Bio-Pharma industry in 1976, and for the next 16 years served in various Pharmaceutical Sales & Marketing positions while at Johnson & Johnson and later, at Wyeth.

The next 17 years of his career has been in executive positions on the service-side of the healthcare industry. He is the former President/COO of Nelson Professional Sales, division of Publicis S.A., Paris, past President/COO of LifeGuard Health, LLC, and is currently the President of the Tormey Consulting Group, where he has created new markets for emerging technology and medical device manufacturers.

Tormey is recognized as an industry expert in the area of contracted sales and promotional outsourcing. Additionally, he has been recognized by PharmaVOICE as one of The 100 Most Inspiring People in the Life-Sciences Industry.  

CARSTEN FREDSBO
Director

Carsten (Chief Sales & Marketing Officer) has over 25 years of successful international medical device industry and management experience. Carsten was President of EuroMed from 1992 to 2004, and partner from 1995 to 2004. During his 12 years with EuroMed, the company experienced solid growth, product line expansion, and an increase in its international customer base.
 
In 2004, Carsten returned to his native Denmark and established MDBC (Medical Device Business Catalyst), which is focused on early stage investments in innovative medical devices. Carsten still holds board positions with several medical device starts-ups in Denmark.
 
Prior to joining EuroMed in 1992, Carsten held management positions with Coloplast A/S in Denmark and Sweden.

STEPHEN POWELL
Director

Steve (Chief Operating Officer) has over 28 years of diverse and successful operations and product development leadership experience, including 23 years working directly with Medical Devices. 
                                                  
Steve has held a variety of executional and leadership positions throughout his career that have progressed from production supervision and varied engineering assignments to executive and Board-level assignments with GM accountability. 
 
Steve has extensive cellular manufacturing, Lean, JIT, Quality Systems, product development, facilities, and manufacturing leadership experience. Additionally, Steve brings to EuroMed wide-ranging strategic planning, budget, product launch, organizational development, and ERP implementation experience that has been realized at companies ranging in size from small privately held “re-starts” to multibillion dollar organizations like Stryker Orthopedics, where he spent 10 years earlier in his career.
 
For the 6 years prior to joining EuroMed, Steve held the position VP of Manufacturing and Board of Directors member for Bio-Chem Fluidics based in Boonton, NJ and Cambridge, UK.
 
Steve graduated from Lehigh University with a BS in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering.
